Silicon Island Green Tech Park Industrial Land (L347)

Location and Connectivity

Silicon Island is being developed off southern Penang Island, near the established Bayan Lepas industrial and air-cargo corridor. The masterplan also incorporates future commercial, residential, leisure and transport components. It is about 3km to Penang International Airport and the Penang 2nd Bridge. It will be serviced by the planned Mutiara LRT stations and Hub.

Targeted Tenants

The developer prioritizes “catalytic investors” defined primarily by its ability to generate high value-add economic multiplier effects—most critically, the capacity to anchor and attract secondary and tertiary suppliers, vendors, and service partners into the local ecosystem. These companies create high-skilled local employment, drive R&D, and deepen industry clustering.

Target profiles and sectors include:

• Electrical & Electronics (E&E) and Semiconductor Core: Front-end/back-end semiconductor fabrication, advanced packaging and testing (OSAT), and integrated circuit (IC) design.
• Semiconductor Capital Equipment & Automation: Automated Test Equipment (ATE), semicap manufacturing equipment, precision tooling, and Electronic Design Automation (EDA).
• High-Value Medical Technology: Advanced medical devices, diagnostic systems, and life sciences equipment.
• Research, Development & Innovation: Centers dedicated to product engineering, process development, and advanced software/firmware design.
