Green Tech Park at Silicon Island is strategically located off the southern coast of Penang Island, close to the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone and Penang’s established manufacturing ecosystem.
Connectivity Highlights
- Penang International Airport — approximately 3 km: close to the island’s international air gateway and air-cargo facilities.
- Penang Second Bridge — approximately 3 km: close to the key cross-strait corridor linking southern Penang Island with the mainland and the North–South Expressway.
- Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway: the main eastern coastal route connecting Bayan Lepas northwards to Penang Bridge (First Bridge) and George Town.
- Penang Port: access to mainland port and logistics facilities through Penang’s cross-strait bridge connections and road network.
- Planned Mutiara Line LRT: Silicon Island is planned to include an LRT depot and the provisional PSR-A station, with future rail connections towards Penang International Airport, Bayan Lepas, George Town and Penang Sentral.

The island-wide masterplan also sets out 402 acres of green space, including parks, beaches and mangrove wetlands, alongside more than 100 km of planned walking and cycling routes. Together with residential, business and leisure precincts, these facilities form the developer’s vision for a connected waterfront community around Green Tech Park.
