“United Local Synergy Programme” Launched to Strengthen Local Supply Chain

March 25, 2025 – A significant initiative aimed at bolstering Malaysia’s position in the global economy, the ‘United Local Synergy Programme,’ was launched at Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd in Batu Kawan today. The program focuses on strengthening the local supply chain and driving innovation.

The event marked the formation of a strategic alliance between seven industrial leaders:

  • Greatech Mechatronics Sdn Bhd
  • Aurelius Technologies
  • Coraza Systems Sdn Bhd
  • Berjayapak Sdn Bhd
  • Swift Bridge Technologies
  • Prodelcon Sdn Bhd
  • EngTek

These companies formalized their collaboration by signing a document of collaboration. The program is designed to foster a self-sustaining tech ecosystem and enhance the global competitiveness of Malaysian companies.

The launch was attended by Investment, Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Liew Chin Tong, who delivered a speech emphasizing Malaysia’s strategic role in the global semiconductor and technology sectors. He highlighted the importance of moving from “Made in Malaysia” to “Made by Malaysians” and fostering horizontal linkages across industries.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow also spoke at the event, applauding the program as a “bold step” towards enhancing the local supply chain and driving sustainable growth. He expressed optimism about the initiative’s role in helping local companies move up the value chain and expand into global markets.

Also present at the event was InvestPenang chief executive officer Datuk Loo Lee Lian.
